USING TECHNOLOGY TO COMMUNICATE - WEB PAGE
Competition Date: Friday, March 11, 2005
Location: Ala Moana Hotel
Event: The Asia-Pacific Cyber Games

Design, develop, publish, and present a web site that demonstrates and communicates topical information to a specific audience using appropriate technology resources.

This category is open to students in grades 9-12. Create your web site using Notepad, FrontPage, DreamWeaver, Flash, Claris HomePage, or whatever other program you choose to use.

As a means of demonstrating that your web site is communicating to a wide audience, 10% of your project's score will be based on the number of "popular votes" your web site receives. From Wednesday, March 2, 2005, through Tuesday, March 8, 2005, have your friends and family go to the HiTech Quest web site to vote for your project. By doing so, they will establish a "vote" for your web site. The more votes you generate, the more points (maximum 10 points) your project will receive.

HiTech Quest will award three prizes: first place ($1,000 scholarship), second place ($500 scholarship), and third place ($250 scholarship).
