HiTech Quest has various competition categories you can choose from. Each category requires a different type of skill set. Showcase your skills and talents in front the business leaders of Hawaii. Aside from winning cash scholarships, many past HiTech Quest participants have been offered internship opportunities from various tech companies. To participate in the 2005 HiTech Quest Scholarship Competition, please note the following important deadlines:
February 4, 2005 All registration forms and payments are due (see criteria for each category for requirements)
February 25, 2005 Projects entered in the HiTech Quest Keiki (web competition for grades K-5), HiTech Quest Junior (web competition for grades 6-8), Using Technology to Communicate - WEB and Using Technology to Communicate - DIGITAL VIDEO categories must be live and on the Internet for popular voting
March 2 - 8, 2005 On-line Popular Voting Open -- Encourage your friends and family to vote for your project!
March 11, 2005 On-site Judging for high school student projects at the Ala Moana Hotel

Create a web site that demonstrates and communicates topical information to a specific audience

USING TECHNOLOGY TO COMMUNICATE - DIGITAL VIDEO DIVISION

Take a real-life school, business, social, civic or economic issue identified by an actual client and propose, design and implement a technological solution.

BASIC OPERATIONS AND CONCEPTS

Student teams will identify, describe and apply strategies for solving routine hardware and software problems that occur in everday use.
