HiTech Quest Keiki Judging Criteria
|
Online Votes (10%)
As a means of demonstrating that your message/cause is reaching a wide
audience, a portion of your score will be based upon the amount of votes that
you can generate for your site. During the week of Wednesday, March 2, 2005
through Tuesday, March 8, 2005, tell your friends and family to visit your site
and then have them go to the HiTech Quest website to vote for your site. By
doing so, they will establish a "vote" for your site. The more "votes" you
generate, the higher the points (maximum 10 points).
| Criteria: Points awarded will be based upon a rank ordering of the
projects by the number of votes received (e.g., if 50 projects are entered in
this category, the 5 projects receiving to most votes will receive 10 points,
the 6th through 10th projects will receive 9 points, etc.). |

Technical Quality (40%)

Criteria: Does the web site work as intended? |
| Links to a variety of online resources and other sites' work. |
| Navigation is functional (you can click through the site),
Web site is well organized to allow visitors to move quickly and efficiently
through the site |
| Web site is viewable on common browswers (most current
version of Internet Explorer and Netscape); images and formatting load. |

| Criteria: Does the design enhance presentation of the content? (Because
of the age involved, "cute" is ok) |
| A consistent theme ("look and feel") is used: Appropriate
colors, fonts, graphics and layout are used |
| Images work with text to maximize impact |
| A variety of media (pictures, multimedia, etc.) are used |

| Topic selected is interesting, timely and compelling |
| Rich Content: Site demonstrates insight, understanding and
innovative exploration of the topic; Topic is explored in depth; A variety of

grammatical errors |
